Couples
If we are built for relationships, why are they so hard?

There is no easy answer to this question. There are many reasons why a relationship might not be working the way you’d like it to. Some of the common issues I deal with are:
- Communication Breakdowns
- Conflict Resolution Skills
- Financial Issues
- Sexuality and Intimacy Issues
- Gender Roles
- Individual Needs
- Trust Issues
- Personal History Dynamics
- Extended Family Issues
Types of Couples Counseling
Premarital Counseling
To have a successful marriage, many couples find it helpful to start looking at some of the “pot holes” they already see in the relationship with their spouse-to-be months before the wedding date. While doing pre-marital counseling we focus on the most common areas of difficulty including communication, conflict resolution, finances, sex, family, roles, needs, etc…
Marriage & Couples Counseling
Whether its a relationship that just needs a tune-up or a major overhaul, sitting down with a counselor can bring clarity and a new perspective. As a neutral third-party I am able to help both parties see what decisions and actions they need to take in the best interest of the relationship.
Relationship Crisis Counseling
When things are at the breaking point its difficult to know what the next step is. Before making a decision that has long-reaching consequences it would be wise to see if there are other viable options. For couples at the end of their rope I provide a practical frame work where each person can catch their breath, look at the situation without the intense pressure, and make the best long-term decisions.
