In scripture we’re told to “love others as we love ourselves.” And yet, most of us have spent too much time condemning, criticizing, and degrading our own self worth. Our desire to be responsible and motivate ourselves by being hard on ourselves has actually become our biggest hinderance to living lives filled with love and compassion.
In this summer series, we’ll explore how to have a right relationship with ourselves while still “thinking of others as better than ourselves”. We’ll figure out how our self image was shaped and what we can do to redeem a self worth that doesn’t feel very worthy. And we’ll discover practical ways our self acceptance can improve the important relationships around us.
