How do you see the world?
Every time we sit in a chair or drive our car we are expecting (trusting) things and others to behave in a predictable manner. If we do not trust people to be predictable then we can never relax. We have to check the construction of every chair. We have to avoid driving in certain conditions. We become exhausted because have to do everything ourselves because others can not be trusted.

When life becomes this way you might hear words like “Control Freak” or “Micro-manager”. None of us grow up hoping to become a control freak yet sometimes you may find yourself in that place. Having to control everything comes from a place of fear. Controlling everything is a way to avoid, or manage, anxiety.

If you’ve had your trust broken before or you’ve grown up or lived in a environment that was inherently unpredictable you’ve learned that you have to take care of you. You have to be in control because if you aren’t then no one will be. Let me be one of the first to tell you that life can be different. You can learn to relax again. It starts with building a trusting relationship with one person and then grows from there.
